Saginaw Summer Music Workshops 2024
For ages 7 - adult
Program description: For musicians ages 7-adult with a minimum of 1 year of experience playing their instrument and reading music. Participants will rehearse in Chamber Ensembles, perform in a recital, and attend various classes and workshops (catered to different ages and levels) to improve music literacy, enhance musicianship skills, and build leadership characteristics.
For ages 5-8
Mini Maestros (NEW!)
Program description: For aspiring musicians ages 5-8, with little to no experience reading music and may or may not play an instrument. Come play in a Music Mind Games class, using interactive games and activities and fun materials, to develop music literacy! Develop interpersonal, leadership, and musicianship skills as the group prepares a piece of music for the recital.
*If your child plays an instrument, please have them bring it! If not, they will be able to borrow a fun rhythm instrument to perform on!*
For ages 8 - adult
Musician Enrichment (NEW!)
Program description: For musically-minded individuals ages 8-adult (with some previous music-reading experience) who, whether they play an instrument or not, want to improve their music literacy and skills! Participants will attend various classes and workshops (catered to different ages and levels) to learn music theory, improve music literacy, and enhance musicianship skills and leadership characteristics. They will also attend the concert Friday at 11:30am.
Choose your instructor of preference (not guaranteed) for a lesson or two during the festival week (online or in-person) or weeks leading up to it (online only). This is a great way to get extra help with your part or overall playing! You can read about our faculty at mountainspringsmusic.org/our-faculty.
