Dr. Erika Qureshi

Oboe

Erika Qureshi is a freelancer and private music teacher based in Sandy, UT.  She enjoys performing as an oboist and English horn player with the Orchestra at Temple Square and substitute with the Utah Symphony.  Ms. Qureshi recently joined the Trio de Bois, an ensemble under the umbrella of The Ladies Reeding Society, actively working on recording projects and collaborating on new compositions for reed trio.

Ms. Qureshi holds degrees in oboe performance from the University of Utah (DMA), Brigham Young University (MM) and University of Colorado at Boulder (BM).  As a masterclass clinician, she has taught woodwind workshops in local schools and university sessions on overcoming performance anxiety.  Serving as President and Co-Founder of the Utah Double Reed Society and Double Reed Utah Federation of Music Clubs, Erika demonstrates a passion for building community and expanding opportunities for aspiring musicians in the state of Utah.

In addition to coaching at the Mountain Springs Music Festival this summer, Ms. Qureshi is looking forward to presenting two recitals at the International Double Reed Society Conference in Boulder, Colorado.
