Jacob Clark is a Doctoral student of Katie Lansdale (modern violin) and Emlyn Ngai (baroque violin) at the Hartt School. Fluent in Italian, Mr. Clark is a seasoned, international, and award-winning performer. He has given several solo recitals in Europe – having professionally performed in five different countries. He is a founding member, and past concertmaster of the SOL conductor-less orchestra. He has also performed as part of local, and international festivals – including repeated, privileged participation in the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute (TBSI) where he has served as concertmaster, and assistant-concertmaster. Equally adept with chamber music, Mr. Clark’s quintet won first place in The Hartt School Chamber Music Competition of March 2020. Mr. Clark was concertmaster for the U.S. premier of “Farinelli and the King” with the Southwest Shakespeare Company, The Hartt School SymphonyOrchestra, and several other local and seasonal orchestras.  Mr. Clark proudly serves as faculty, board member, and grant writerfor the Mountain Springs Music Festival.  

Well-known for his thoughtful and passionate approach to music and life, Mr. Clark has been awarded the Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America, studied classical piano with Margreet Francis of the Hartt School in tandem with his undergraduate studies, and served a volunteer, two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, assigned to southern Italy.  

Mr. Clark is the privileged recipient of a 1920 Giovanni Tedescoviolin from Naples.
