Having completed his Masters of Music (MM) with Danwen Jiang at Arizona State University – Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts – Jacob Clark began his Doctoral studies with Katie Lansdale at The Hartt School of Music, Fall 2024. Fluent in Italian, Mr. Clark is a seasoned, international, and award-winning performer. He has given several solo recitals in Europe – performing in five different countries in 2023 – 2024. He is a founding member, and past concertmaster of the SOL conductor-less orchestra. He has also performed as part of local, and international festivals – including privileged participation in the Tafelmusik Baroque Summer Institute (TBSI). Equally adept with chamber music, Mr. Clark’s quintet won first place in The Hartt School Chamber Music Competition of March 2020. Mr. Clark was concertmaster for the U.S. premier of “Farinelli and the King” with the Southwest Shakespeare Company, and several other local and seasonal orchestras. Beginning summer – 2025 – Mr. Clark is thrilled to join Mountain Springs Music Festival as faculty and board member.
Well-known for his thoughtful and passionate approach to music and life, Mr. Clark has been awarded the Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America, studied classical piano with Margreet Francis of the Hartt School in tandem with his undergraduate studies, and served a volunteer, two- year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – assigned to southern Italy.
Mr. Clark is privileged to play an 1855 Nicolas Vuillaume violin.
